At Factory Direct Mattress, our goal is to ensure you love your mattress and your shopping experience. Because mattresses are personal-use products, we do not offer traditional returns once a mattress has been delivered. Instead, we provide a one-time trial period exchange and clear refund guidelines to give you peace of mind while protecting product quality for all of our customers.
All bedding, adjustable bases, box springs, platforms, frames, and furniture sales are final and not eligible to be returned.
Mattress Returns β Sleep Trial Guarantee :
Most of our mattresses include a generous 90- to 120-night sleep trial, allowing you to truly experience your new mattress at home. We recommend giving your body at least 30 nights to adjust to the new sleep surface, as this helps ensure a fair and accurate evaluation. If, after this period, youβre not completely satisfied, you may request a return, exchange, or store credit.
Mattresses being returned must be in sanitary conditionβfree from stains, tears, odors, or pet hairβand in good overall shape. Some of our partner brands may require that a mattress protector be used during the trial in order for the return to be eligible. We will guide you through the process to ensure your return or exchange goes as smoothly as possible.
Bedding & Accessory Returns :
For items like pillows, mattress protectors, sheets, and duvets, we maintain a strict hygiene policy. These products are considered final sale once they have been opened or used. However, if the item is unused and still sealed in its original packaging, you may return it within 30 days of delivery. All returned accessories must be in new, unused condition and accompanied by proof of purchase.
Due to the personal nature of these products, we are unable to accept returns on used bedding or accessories under any circumstances. This policy ensures that every customer receives brand-new, hygienic sleep essentials.
Exchanges and Adjustments :
If your mattress isnβt quite right but youβd prefer to try another model rather than return it, we offer a one-time, hassle-free exchange during the sleep trial period. You can choose another mattress of equal or greater value, with any price difference applied accordingly. If you wish to exchange more than once, an additional fee may apply.

How to Start a Return or Exchange :
To begin a return or exchange, simply reach out to our customer service team by phone, email, or through our websiteβs contact form. Please include your order number and a brief explanation of your concern. Once we confirm the return eligibility, weβll help coordinate either pickup or drop-off, depending on your location and the product being returned.
Returns are inspected upon arrival. If the product meets all requirements, refunds are typically issued within 5 to 10 business days using your original payment method. Store credit is also available if you prefer to continue shopping with us.
Return Policy Exceptions :
While we strive to be as flexible as possible, some items are not eligible for return or exchange. These include clearance or final sale products, custom or special-order mattresses, and any product that shows signs of misuse, abuse, or unsanitary conditions. Returns that do not meet the required condition standards will be denied.
